Founded in 1947, we are proud of having served Los Gatos and the surrounding communities for over 50 years. As the oldest established veterinary hosopital in the area, we continue to set the highest standards for quality medical care and client relationships. A certified member of the American Hospital Association since 1984, we continually strive to provide the best services for our patients and their caregivers. LGD&C Staff and Doctors regularly participate in Continuing Education via state and national seminars as well as through various community events. We know that seeing more than the examination room is important for many pet owners and welcome you to take a virtual tour of our hospital.

Exam Rooms

At LGD&C, we value your input. To help ensure that any questions and all needs are addressed, our Veterinarians will examine your pet with you present. Both cat and dog treats are provided in each of our three exam rooms to help reassure and relax our patients.

Pharmacy and Laboratory

We are able to fill most prescriptions through our in-hospital pharmacy. We request that you phone 24 hours ahead in order to help enable us time to prepare them for you. Urine, blood and stool samples are tested in our laboratory.

Radiology

This is our Radiology room. Digital-Films are "developed" immediately by our technicians, reviewed by our veterinarians as well as by a team of board-certified radiologists. Ultra-sound services are also available.

Treatment

For those of you who have never ventured through the double doors "to the back" treatment areas, this is an opportunity to see where we care for our patients.
We perform minor procedures here including nail trims, ear cleaning, and heartworm tests. Patients recieve dental services and are also prepared for more in-depth procedures here. In addition, this is the main staging area for nurses to care for hospitalized patients.

Surgery

This is where most of our surgeries are performed.
Your pet will be in the skilled hands of a veterinarian for surgery as well as a technician for anesthetic monitoring.
